Has owning an e-bike changed where or how often you ride?

One of the biggest changes I noticed when I started riding e-bikes was that I stopped thinking quite so much about whether I fancied tackling a particular route.

A steep hill, strong headwind or an extra 10 miles doesn't seem quite as important when you know you've got some assistance available if you need it.

I've also found that e-bikes are great for exploring. I've ended up riding roads, trails and routes that I probably wouldn't have bothered with on a normal bike, simply because there's less concern about running out of energy miles from home.

Has owning an e-bike changed the way you ride?

Are you riding further, going out more often, tackling hillier routes or perhaps using the bike for journeys you'd previously have done by car?

Or did you already cycle regularly and simply find that an e-bike lets you cover more ground?

It would be interesting to hear how much difference getting an e-bike has actually made to people's riding.
