Is high mileage something to worry about when buying a used e-bike?
Mileage is one of the first things most people look at when buying a used e-bike, but I'm not convinced it's always a particularly good indicator of condition.
I'd personally rather buy a higher-mileage bike that's been regularly used and properly maintained than a very low-mileage bike that's spent five years sitting in a damp shed with the battery neglected.
The motor and battery are obviously the expensive parts, but I've seen some surprisingly high-mileage e-bikes that still ride extremely well.
At what point would the mileage put you off buying a used e-bike?
Would 5,000 miles concern you? 10,000? Or would you judge the bike entirely on its condition, service history and battery health?
